Getting to know the forbidden city was spectacular. No problem entering, you show your passports and you're inside. Then the treasure room and the clock room were the same, passports and you entered without problems. Very good activity, a must-see in Pekin.

The Forbidden City in Beijing

By booking your tickets to the Forbidden City, you'll step into a majestic palatial complex where 24 emperors from the Ming and Qing dynasties governed for over 500 years. It's a unique opportunity to explore a site spanning more than 72 hectares that was strictly forbidden to the public since its construction in 1420.

Considered the largest and best-preserved ancient wooden structure in the world, Beijing's Forbidden City comprises close to 1000 buildings and almost 9000 chambers. Its design rigorously follows the principles of Feng Shui and Chinese cosmology, with a symmetrical alignment along a north-south axis, golden roofs, and red walls that represent good fortune and prosperity.

Throughout your visit, you can admire both the Outer Court, destined for important State ceremonies and dominated by the imposing Hall of Supreme Harmony, as well as the Inner Court, where you'll find the Imperial gardens and the private quarters of the emperor, the empress, and their concubines.

It will be an authentic journey through time amidst monumental courtyards, dragon sculptures, and centuries of secrets from Imperial China.
